Oh the Troxy. I love the Troxy! What a beautiful venue. Art deco loveliness. And it is ten minutes walk from my work. What a nice surprise. Xx

Troxy booked - be warned, the site you buy tickets from is appallingly slow.

The Troxy is in Limehouse, one of the most historic parts of London. It's slap bang in the heart of the old East End, with a history of docks and immigration and pirates. A street or so back from the Troxy is a road called Narrow Street, cobbled with wharfes fronting the river. There are a few great pubs down there, some of the oldest in London with windows looking out over the Thames and steps down to the foreshore. The best is the Grapes, at no 76, which is co-owned by Ian McKellan, and serves some of the best seafood in London. Have fish and chips at the bar or sit in a window seat and watch the ships go by.

And e-botti, either the circle or standing will give you a great view. The Troxy is an old fashioned picture house, art deco in style, which has great views wherever you're seated.

Now all I have to do is rearrange my half term so I can go. See you in the pub? xx

How exciting - I nearly fell off my chair when I saw this!! Tix booked for Leamo - great venue and nice and local. Only thing was, tried to book seating and didn't let me, so have booked standing instead - oh well, means I shall have to get there nice and early to secure the front row!!
