Richard,Appreciate your trying to make light of it and as it,s your song you,ve every right do to do what you want. I was merely trying to give my opinion on what the moment did for me and what Soldier On means for me.Not sure you,d be that impressed if a bucket of water came your way during "The Ocean " !!!!!!!.Egor flick the switch !!!!!

I sort of misunderstood Poppydog's comment and interpreted it as 'Palf and Jan H get into this"
Thought you were being heightist ..... But now I understand! :*: :*: :*:
Yes should design a Hawley Forum Big Slipper for Palf's merchandise stall!

One things for sure it sounded sweet as owt on I'm On Nights... And that baritone guitar... That's what gets me in that song. Best version I've heard of that song. The guy next to me was in tears. Pure class.

Was it 'The Beast' on There's a Storm Comin'? That was the highlight of many highlights for me. Audience gave it a proper roar too.

Philharmonic, slow, squally becoming severe gale 9. :D

I'm fascinated - I have read that you have a whole room full of guitars yet I always see a small group of the same ones. Is it that you prefer the more recent acquisitions or just that the older models don't have the sound that you're after? How on earth do you look after that many?!!

If the Gretsch is the beast what is Colin's Gibson EB bass?

I'd need help picking that up - never mind playing it...

Oh yes! My sentiments exactly. There's something in the baritone that strikes right to the core. can't quantify it really. I've always wondered if certain ranges affect different people differently, as the baritone has always blown me away ..>

And yes, The Beast - beautiful thing 8) Hope to hear it in person sometime soon.

Haha... Far from it... In a different part of the cosmos. She is a beaut though the beast. I myself have a Gretsch Pro Jet from the electromatic range, as it's all I can afford, but I absolutely adore it. You just can't get that tone from any other guitar. I also recently acquired a Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin with a single P90 pickup mounted under the neck which I use in my solo stuff and rockabilly band play it through my AC 30 and my god it sings! Sorry, this is getting off topic... :/ill have the admins after me... :(
