Interview with Richard - if the link doesn't take you direct to the show, it's the Paul McLoone show, 16h February and you need part 2. Starts approx. 10 minutes into the show.

Anyone go last night then? Came at a bad time for us because I'm in Scotland and Iceland next couple of weeks. Managed to get sorted for London Tuesday night and then fly back to Scotland first thing Wednesday morning, gutted nothing fitted in for Scotland :( . Usually try to get a few in on the tour perhaps Dublin in July? Get a car and have a bit of a drive about :D

just looked on setlistfm and there's nowt on there.
was wondering if this part of the tour would see different structure, not that I'm that bothered because the two I saw at Holmfirth and Roundhouse were fabulous.
I'm off to Southampton tomorrow and lookin forward to it

Yep- York most certainly rocked tonight! It was fantastic. Even though I was right at the back on the balcony I felt connected throughout. difficult to pick highlights - Down in the Woods was awesome, There's a Storm played live is out of this world and What love means made me cry (possibly the peri menopausal hormones kicking in but it is definitely up there with my top three all time favourite Hawley songs) but it seems churlish picking highlights - it was brilliant throughout. All the best with the rest of the tour, Mr H and your amazing band, oh and Up the Owls!

Just got back home to Sheffield. Great evening, excellent banter from Mr H and probably one of the best RH gigs I've been to (nothing will ever beat the Teddy Boy's Picnic) ..>

Manchester will be amazing. The Apollo is a grand old venue and I have a superb seat near the front. Just can not wait and not bothered if RH plays the same set as at The Albert Hall in November.
Richard Hawley in Lancashire twice in four months. Amazing and never as a Yorkshireman been so welcome.
Will Richard and the band be doing any UK festivals this summer or small outdoor events?

Thank you Richard and band for truly wonderful evening in Southampton. Incredible sound and up there as one of my fave gigs ever. Moved to tears by the experience and in awe of your musicianship - what a songsmith you are.

Here's the setlist

Which Way
Tonight the Streets Are Ours
Standing at the Sky's Edge
I Still Want You
Leave Your Body Behind You
Sometimes I Feel
Open Up Your Door
Tuesday pm
Time Will Bring You Winter
Down in the Woods
Don't Stare at the Sun
Heart of Oak
There's a Storm Comin'

Encore:

Coles Corner
What Love Means
The Ocean

Echo that kezmo. Fuckin awesome and it was really obvious how much tighter this tour's set is after a few shows under their belt. Dean is getting his own audience fan club. Richard says he should keep sat down, as the band love him too when they are on the road and away from home ha ha.....
Banter was excellent and RH got away with mentioning Gosport AND Portsmouth. He diced with a near death experience there but he rode his luck.

Marry Waterson was bloody excellent. Not many artists would walk on and sing the first number unaccompanied. Respect.

Great night out, thanks all.

Til the next time ( and thanks to the guy at the ramp who looked after me when my leg started playin up)

Decisions decisions - as an Arsenal season ticket holder and in possession of tickets for the Hammersmith gig on Tuesday, I had a dilemma , thought about it for a millisecond Hammersmith here we go !

Fantastic night in Southampton last night! A great start with Mary Waterson, her last song 'Two Wolves' is well worth waiting for. We had to wait a while for Richard to follow but boy, was it worth the wait! The best set list of any of his gigs I've been to. Great to hear 'There's A Storm Coming' again, definitely hairs on the back of the neck stuff. Great banter as well, there was a lot of love flying around in that place last night & it seems the drummer had more admirers than the woman in the audience who expressed her love for him haha!

I had heard a lot of negative reviews from friends about the acoustics at the Guildhall but as we were right at the front next to the speakers, we didn't notice & probably wouldn't have cared anyway!

Thanks for a great night Richard ..>
