A very strange thing for Richard I'm sure, but a bunch of "prostitutes and marvel characters" (always the picture of pc :*: ) had the pleasure of listening to Mr. H play from Manchester in Second Life a little bit ago. Just thought I'd post a quick thing.

Despite not feeling well and his throat feeling horrible he still sounded good and it was a treat to hear him playing stuff not his own. My application crashed right after he started so it froze - i could still hear, but there was no animation or anything, which means I was fortunate enough to not have to deal with the inane chatter of the other guests. But here's what I could catch of the set.

- It keeps raining-Fats Domino
- Long black veil-Lefty Frizzell
- Roving gambler- the everlys
- Lonesome town-Ricky Nelson(I did it in Liverpool the night before)
- Troublesome Water, Howard Sarat (sp?)

too bad a few of the guests were twats, but it was still very gratifying to be able to hear him live thousands of miles away - like a very private, if surreal, radio set....

Par for the course - people getting an advantage to hear a special performance and talking throughout it!

Glad someone from here got through.

fortunately you can't hear them talking, it's just this constant stream of words scrolling in the lower right corner of the screen.....

i *think* there were one or two others from the forum in there, but it's hard to tell and no one owned up to it....

I was trying to record it, which is why my app crashed....

I don't think I am up to all that technology. Maybe one day if I have a few hours to spare.

There was an item about Second Life on our local BBC news tonight. A design agency in Manchester were talking about designing celebrity houses. Richard Hawley was interviewed and we had a quick look around his house.

Just found this - for those that don't want to download the full programme, here is a complete summary of the Hawley experience on Second Life.........

Not entirely sure that the virtual Richard looks exactly like the real one - what's going on with the sunken chest? (I know he likes pirates but honestly............... :*: )

That's a very good page actually - I didn't get to see half of that when I was in Second Life cos I couldn't move around very well - certainly didn't find the secret bunker!!

I see there were some images from the Serious video there - notably the pink weights in the bedroom and the champagne in the bathroom sink (but who chose to colour the suite yellow? ) :D

I had one of those tricycles when I was little............ but mine was red and white............ funny the things you remember!
