:D Counting down for gig 2 and hoping it will be as excellent as Hull :D

 Sadly I shall have to forgo the pleasures of the pub as will be escorted by 8 year old niece (and yes she is obviously the one in charge of me rather than the other way round) ... but do say hello if you spot us (though be careful you don't mistake my sister for me, she'll not appreciate it ... though I have better shoes)

A great night out last night, thanks to Richard and the band for a brilliant set. I loved 'Lady Solitidude' live, great vocals by the way. They pulled the stops out on the lighting as well. I'd not been to the Guildhall before but it's quite an interesting venue, a great big stone clad box, very reverbalicious.

VV and the V were very good, they definitely have their own sound and well worth checking out. That Jim Gibson can sing, can't he?

Thanks again and looking forward to the next tour :)

Got to agree! It was a fantastic set last night in Southampton! Lady Solitude live was just wonderful, and I love the Boss' version of Lonesome Town. Stunning. 8) :D

There was a really good crowd vibe last night too I thought. Had to move at one point coz there was a couple of annoying girls who seemed to be chattering the whole time, but otherwise fantastic....

Thanks boss!!! :D 8)

Didn't get to Goblets afterwards, just getting over a cold and needed to go and sleep! Hope those who did go back had a cracking night!

Superb night, thanks to Richard and the band.Highlights for me had to be the awesome Valentine,Lonesome Town and the rousing (and imo is becoming your suspicious minds live) The Ocean.

If i could've plonked my Dad in the audience to hear your version of Lonesome Town i think it'd have brought a tear to his eye....he loves Ricky Nelson :D

Newbie here but long time Richard fan. Took my son along last night and managed to get great view at front. COMPLETELY blown away by a great set by a beautifully suited and booted band. Sound was great and I don't mind admitting I was literally moved to tears by The Ocean at the end - that guitar playing was goosebump giving and my 17 year old son (who had come along to keep me safe in the streets of Southampton - scary for a Pompey gal!) was incredibly impressed. Thanks Richard :D

Welcome to the forum Andygunn and Kezmo ... missing the shingle beaches just thinking about Portsmouth  oh no, I'm getting home-sick!

Andygunn - what was the name of the indie band you were in and where did you play? Used to go and see bands play a lot down The Salutation and over at The John Peel in Gosport.

I just wanted to say a huge well done for the gig at Southampton. What a brilliant set! The only fly in the ointment was dashing out at the end to get the last train to Reading! Looking forward to the Albert Hall......and taking the car!!
