The missus (oh she of the smutty gags) is off to Edinburgh with the kids tomorrow. Half term.

I'm off work for a few days and have promised to splash some paint around the kitchen for when she returns on Thursday.

Instead, I'm toying with the idea of a solo jaunt through the Peak District (lunch and a read in a country pub?) to Leicester for a pint and a happy attack at De Montford Hall.

Weather looks good and I presume I can pick up a ticket. What do you think? Are Hawley & The Gang worth it?

Are they worth it?

oh me lordy..there's no doubt about it. The live show is better than the recordings (imho)....which ain't always the case....but in this case it is...spellbinding.

I vote paint the kitchen on Tuesday/Weds...maybe call the box office and get a ticket in advance?

you'll be very happy you went (for days) if you decide to...and that trip through the peak district sounds lovely...

Spoke to a nice lady at DMH box office. She's holding me a ticket. Tiered stalls? Kids are halfway to Scoootland (fish and chips at Tebay at the last check-in) so I'm on the move...heading where the tyres press.

Sorry, Mrs NewEggs. The kitchen can wait!! Hey, I might even borrow a Crowded House T-shirt from Alan Partridge...

At Hull I think Richard was on for about an hour and three quarters...... don't know how long V&TV were on for though - three quarters of an hour to an hour I reckon?

Richard & co were on for an hour and a half in Glasgow, but that'd be because the ABC has a stupid curfew on the weekends ... Ahem. Yeah. :D

My first time of seeing Richard live last night and all I can say is that I'm still on cloud nine with a silly smile on my face :D :D :D Thankyou Richard and the Lads and everyone for making me a very happy bunny :D :D :D
Nice to meet up with Julie and Mark - - and Palf - got some Hendo's and stuff, but forgot the badges, so just have to see if there are any tickets for York and/or Buxton! :)
Thankyou again Richard you have a new HawleyStalker!! :D :D

I can confirm that Jill's silly smile was just as the emoticon :*: :P

It was a great night and it was lovely to meet to Jill. The Hawley concerts are great for socialising. I also chatted to a very familiar looking guy in a checked coat who told me he was Dean's best mate and I said after, that I was sure he was in King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys.... I've just confirmed on the internet that he was and so was Dean - known then as Bam Bam Beresford!

It was great fun as usual but I am confused as to why Richard dropped the Ocean as his closing song... after he'd told us he would play it later if we were good.... Maybe we weren't.... :(

I have a vague memory that they once did a song on Teletubbies. Anyone remember that?
