Me and Maggie are near the front of the stalls, so not too bad for York :D

I think it's so early because Maps are supporting as well as the bands with too many 'v's in their name :D

I've just found out that Elbow are onstage between 8:30 and 10:00, so there'll be no Hawley for me tonight :( At least I have Buxton next Tuesday :!:

Jan H - any meet-up with the lovely London lasses ( ) will have to go on hold until Royal Albert Hall

Enjoy the gig everyone who is going.

AMAZING

Set List

Valentine
Roll River Roll
Just Like the Rain
Long Dark Road
Coles Corner
Tonight the Streets Are Ours (which gets better and better and better)
Lady's Bridge
Hotel Room
Serious
Lady Solitude
Our Darkness
Sea Calls
Born Under a Bad Sign
I'm Looking For Someone To Find Me

Lonesome Town - with Clive
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry - full band iwth Clive
Oh My Love
The Ocean (superb)

Lady Solitude done in the new way was just aswesome. We were a little distracted towards the end of the song by the drunk who had earlier heckled Richard causing a nuisance but security removed him to the side of the hall.

We noticed the book on the music stand is now the Richard Hawley Mong Book.

Shez guitar playing is wonderful (and his suit suitably sh*ny).

John's keyboards are beautiful.

Colin's guitar work and double bass playing enthralling.

Dean on drums hits a mean beat.

Clive on harmonica - well you deserve every bit of the applause given tonight

Richard - well as usual an outstanding performance and the guitar playing in the Ocean just sublime.

A lovely night spoiled by tube delays and the drunken heckler who was amusing at first but did not know when to stop.

I quite agree - I had such an evening of it............. till 9.25 approx when the lads came on stage and then everything was fine...........

The guys were absolutely SUPERB............ I'm not sure how but they seem to get better every time....................... beautiful version of Lady Solitude (had tears in my eyes with that one.........), Hotel Room as usual brilliant and my favourite all time Hawley track to date, and as for Oh My Love............ well what can I say but this new live version is exceptional - and Richard PLEASE can you make sure that that is on the live recording........... pretty please? :D

Thanks to Richard and the guys for another fantastic set - I just find myself wishing every time I see them that I can just freeze time and replay it over and over again................ :D

Sadly there were only three of us in the end, but I think we made enough noise for four............ :*:
