I bloody missed that. I don't really know how because I bought the badges in Manchester.

Yes, it was lovely - heartfelt and clearly from a genuine Hawleyite :D

At Buxton the badges came free if you bought the programme so I have both. 8)

Oh, thanks Tessa. You've made me feel so much better about the situation now!

If Paulf really is on here, perhaps he'll take pity on you and let you have one.....

Failing that, I'm open to offers :*: :*:

Back home again in Clackmannanshire after an all too short foray south to Buxton. The gig was amazing, and the humility with which Richard asked us all at the end to give another round of appreciation to the band was touching - they really are a 'family'.

Mrs H senior and Mrs H junior in the audience ..... Mr H really was on his best behaviour!

And Buxton, what a great place. Sadly part of the pavilion was closed awaiting urgent repair, but where else can you swim in a pool filled with the same water that we pay a pound a bottle for? Pity we didn't have our swimming togs with us. Our hotel seemed to be full of Hawley fans, if the visitors' book was anything to go by!

Roll on the RAH in May!

Buxton gig was absolutely ace, managed to persuade 'er in doors to come with me. She was worried about leaving our 14 year old on her own but we got one of her mates to stay with her and alerted the neighbour (another Hawley fan). Anyway, the upshot is she came and know understands what it's all about. She has just gone up to bed with these words "if you are going on that Hawley board tell him he has captured my heart". She said she was almost in tears listening to some of the songs. thanks Rich you were great and I will use your (admitedly old) encyclopedia britannica gag at the George in Compstall tomorrow night where my band are playing, if you don't mind.

I had a great time on Tuesday night. I enjoyed Daughter of Frank, what a voice. VV and the Villains were good too, my Hubby saw the video of their new single on VH1 yesterday and recognised it.

It was nice to meet Jill.

The Boss was amazing, I was spellbound. :D The band were brilliant too, and deserved the applause.

We had no fog heading back towards Cheshire,. It was freezing when we left, the temperature showed minus 7 when we left Buxton. I was glad of the T-shirt I bought (I put it on straight away).

I'm now a reviewer for allgigs.co.uk and my very first review has just been put on the site. Nice that the first one is a Hawley one :)

Brilliant review, Takemeanywhere! It's good to have a proper review written by a fan... Much better than those concise NME numbers. Anyway, lovely! Makes me wish I'd been there...

Ha ha, yeah that were me. I tried to be discreet and only do it between songs. I hope I didn't spoil your enjoyment of the show
