was at an excellent little festival in the royal county, i.e meath last july, called the midlands festival, great line up,henry mc.cracken, brush shiels, brian meakin, etc. what would be the chances of richard being persuaded to play at something that small. it was a super weekend, great mix, and nicely intimate. is it true he is playing oxygene ? my daughter goes to that. dont think shed appreciate "the mammy" being there  :P

Ooooh, you can't be dictated to by the children, my son (17) was rightly pissed when I said I was trying to get a ticket for oxygen, but I think if we actually did manage to get tickets it would be easy enough to avoid each other. We could always pretend not to know each other in the event of bumping into one another.

, confirmed he's playing the Saturday. It would be awesome to see him at the Killkenny Rhythm & Roots festival but I guess thats not going to happen anytime soon and to be honest the lineups arent so great as they once were, imagine Rodney Crowell & Jeffrey Foucault and the likes just playing gigs each night in the local pubs and small venues, great craic but methinks its on the way out,

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.
