its a very good album that one, been hanging out for a follow up to it for a while. Everyone should check out her cover of Dylan's Just Like A Women off the I'm Not There Soundtrack in the meantime, rather wonderful. |

was just listening to 5:55 on the old ipod this morning, there was another charlotte gainsbourg thread kicking around somewhere from when the alnbum came out i think... |

I got inot a rant on the Sound on Sound forum after somebody voiced their astonishment that Jarvis would be involved in producing someone who 'sang out of tune'. I like her voice and i believe that sometimes those shakily pitched voices give character to vocals. after all the difference between the character of a a flute and a Tin whistle is the shakily pitched overtones. |
