Twenty Years anniversary today since he died !..... :( ..........................I do love his music and agree with that 'haunting and impassioned ' description of Lukes.................his songs can really get those emotions going....................

Yeah, December 6th 1988. It is the 20th year since his death, so maybe that is where the confusion kicked in. :D

Little Baby, produced by Joe, very Roy sounding, and a favourite track of Dave Adams for all you Meek Freeks !

Yeah! but written by Roy and Joe Melson.. Don's finest was 'Vincent' to me.

I thought it was a Don song though
Vincent, what a fantastic song, how these songwriters turn words into emotional gems. Makes me sick... :x the bastards, jealous, you bet your life I am :x

Picked this one up yesterday, can't seem to find the album info (its one of those carbon neutral ones) Does anyone know if its got the original recordings or re-done ones? Either way it was only a fiver odd for 25 songs, bargain :D

Listen to Pretty Woman and if that sort of yowl/grr (it's about 1 minute into the song) he does sounds right then it's original recordings. It was that song that tipped me off on the CD I bought some time ago and it was so obviously not the original recording I remembered.

Just found it on the HMV site with bits to listen to and assuming the track that is playing is the track from your album then that is the original (they are playing the exact bit I mentioned).
