ah yes, such as the house I had in Withington (Mcr) which did an interesting line in snail trails up the kitchen wall most mornings. Once, my flatmate decided to store potatoes on the cellar floor, then forgot about them. Several weeks later he ventured down again only to find lots of little baby potatoes growing in the foust & damp. That house nearly did me in-no amount of hoovering even touched the years of dust lodged in the carpet. A brilliant year though, despite the squalor...

I like 'clean' and ideally my house would be tidy all of the time - but it isn't!!! I have hundreds of books and CD's but they're all stowed away nicely (thank god for Billy & Benny from Ikea!!!!) as I hate clutter.

I have canvasses and framed photos that I 've taken on the walls so it doesn't look too clinical.

I also find that puring Domestos down the loo every night and spraying Pledge around creates the illusion that you're cleaner than you actually are :*:

I know someone who cleaned his cooker with paint thinners....Although he was the same person who was under his car & his cigarette went up his nose....

My daughter is in a student flat with a couple of 'eco warriors'. Without prejudice I can say that they don't believe in any chemical cleaners/personal hygiene products ..... one of the girls doesn't use deodorants, she just rubs a stone under her arms. I'm sure it's not just a pebble from Portobello beach!

You can get natural rock crystals to use as deodorant - but they are more expensive than the standard deodorants!
