Hi, I'm new here, so hopefully this isn't a stupid or taboo question.

Anyone know where I can download the track "I'm Just Here to Get My Baby Out of Jail"???? The Mr. Hawley version, of course.

I'm more than willing to pay for it, but I'm here in the U.S. and none of the U.K.-based download sites that have the track will let me pay with a U.S. credit card. Probably a licensing issue, I'm guessing.

Any help for a new friend?

Over here the track was only available on the seven inch vinyl of the Born Under a Bad Sign single (and probably Itunes as well).

We swap CD's and MP3's of live stuff with Richard's permission, but definitely not official releases.

I've looked on the Mute site for you and the seven inch isn't available at the moment, I suggest you could keep an eye on ebay for a copy - Richard has his own official shop on there, for which there is a link (in this section I think).

Hope you manage to find a copy!

Thanks Baroness...I'll be on the lookout for the single. I guess it would be rash for me to move to Sheffield just to be able to download one track.

Maybe when I've earned my stripes here I'll hit some folks up for those mp3 swaps.

You can definitely get it on the UK iTunes, but I'm not sure about the US one...

No, I've been able to get lots of b-sides and spare tracks from the US itunes, but not that one. i found a different service that let me buy "Baby's Back" (what an ace tune!), and downloaded that great Pointless Tears EP thanks to this board, but "...Out of Jail" is the major one that eludes me right now.

No, my baby's only a year old. if she found herself in jail I would leave it to her mother to bail her out.
