Hey up Richard (and everyone else), long time no speak.

Currently stuck in Amsterdam airport waiting for a connection; reading the obligitary trashy crime novel purchased in Manchester.

It's the latest "Chief Inspector Banks" story from Peter Robinson (All the Colours of Darkness). The hero is a bit of a music nut. Good man.

Anway, I quote from page 74:

"It was half past eleven when the phone rang, and Keren Ann had long since given way to Richard Hawley's Coles Corner, another late evening favourite"

..and the funny bit is when he answers the phone to his current posh totty missus......

"Sophia didn't like Richard Hawley, called him a yob from Sheffield with pretensions to easy listening"

I laughed a bit too loud at that bit. Thought you might too.

Off to find out when me next flight goes- have a fun summer everyone...

Oh yes, that's actually quite a flattering picture of her as well.

With Peter Robinson - and his principal story character Alan Banks - both being avid music lovers, Peter Robinson is in the process of adding music playlists for each his novels on his official website. As you would expect, Richard's Coles Corner is listed for the latest 'All the Colours of Darkness' along with a couple of dozen other titles.
