Ahoy Mr. Hawley,

The manfriend & I have been dying to find out--where do you get all those sharp sharkskin suits?

Picked up a nice vintage blue on green sharkskin jacket for him at Viva Las Vegas this year & are now dying to get him a full suit. Also, you ever go to Viva or other American rockabilly fests?

Thanks!
-Caitlin

I've never owned a suit  I'd have to get made to measure as I'm a bit vertically challenged :?

You mean, they're not vintage?? Oie. I guess "good" tailors know where to get sharkskin, aye? Will scrounge the vintage a little longer before we go the tailor route. There's some fancy-pants ones in our city, so I reckon we'll have good luck.

Thanks sir! Hope to see you in the US VERY soon (and multiple dates in San Francisco this time!!).

Edinburgh has a great vintage clothing company called Armstrongs. One of the 2 branches is just over the road from the Queens Hall venue that Richard is playing in October. Their current window display is of tweed jackets ... doubt that Richard will be in the queue for those!

find a GOOD tailor (and an old one) and go through his patterns...tailors never throw owt away

by the way - do you know andrew from rocket originals (the BEST handmade 50's shoes!! - their chuckas are awsome and so comfy!!) he gets his suits made by a guy in sheffield.....is it the same guy?
