Was on the school run yesterday so missed it live but just listened to it again at work.

I love Robert Elms, me. I know, Marie, that you do too. All us middle aged ladies doing the washing up and singing along to stuff we shouldn’t admit we like at the top of our voices. And I think he’s funny – a personable chap to pass a spare half hour with I should think.

Great interview and totally lovely version of Leave Your Body Behind You. And you are a charmer, H, apparently.

Half of the good thing about listening to Robert Elms as a Londoner is that you get to find out stuff about your city that you wouldn’t know, and not flag-waving, southern superior bollocks either, interesting things. Like stuff about Londoners who fought in the Spanish Civil War or stories and authors that you’d never ordinarily read about.

And you get to hear great music – part of the good thing about listening to H on here yesterday is that he was preceded by Kissing My Love by Bill Withers, which I love, love, love. And the obligatory Nick Lowe track, I Live On a Battlefield today but Robert plays Lowe tracks all the time. And, of course, huge amounts of Rod Stewart, which pleases me in all sort of ways, guilty and otherwise.

You can listen on-line, it’s tops. x

Robert playing the recording he made of Richard's slowed down version of Leave Your Body Behind You. Today's show at around 12.25 if you want to catch it on Listen Again. Lovely. x

He played it yesterday on his saturday show.. gorgeous! Missed it on Tuesdays, but then again I don't hear alot of radio any more , working full time. One good thing , I got a Virgin Tivo box a few months ago and just found out that I can record radio as well as TV - have got the BBC philharmonic gig saved so I can listen whenever I like now, its fab!!

Luckily, can listen through my computer at work. Shuts out all the "Did you see Britain's biggest loser last night" bollocks. Have just moved floors and now sit with the council's hire and fire team (not good for a union rep, do you think it was deliberate?) and I will kill one of them with a spoon if I have to listen to their unsympathetic drivel for much longer. Good tip with the box though – got a Sky one, will give it a pop.

Love the track though, recorded with a harmonic mesmerizer apparently. Maybe I need one of those for work... xx

Check out the BBC Radio 6 Music "This Is 6Music Live" out now featuring Richard's "Leave Your Body Behind You" recorded at 6Music earlier this year!

on iTunes (UK) http://bit.ly/OkWkpL

on Amazon UK http://amzn.to/Nz4FGt

Amazon slighty cheaper than iTunes to download and they have it on CD. It's the version of Leave Your Body Behind You from Radcliffe and Maconie on 30 July 2012 - the gorgeous slow bluesy version.
