I wonder if anyone could do me a favour--I have a feeling that all this cool stuff will be sold out by the time the tour comes to Ireland. I really want that Pete McKee pin (..and the relish and sweeties)

But mainly the pin*...If anyone has a spare or sees one on sale could they grab one for me and I'll repay you and add p&p?

I'll be your best mate for ever

The pin ran out ages ago, one was on e-bay the other day so probably best to keep an eye out on there.

Fear not, it seems they may be making some more pins to sell via the web site.

PS I'm keeping my Longpigs promo cassingle!

Karen - only just spotted this - did you get your merchandise? If not, PM me with your list and I will sort it for you when I go to the Liverpool gig in February x x

Great avatar Caroline72.
One of the weirder kids' shows of the 70s - but I loved it nonetheless!

Thanks! Thought it was about time.
Kids programmes were all a bit weird in the 70s weren't they? What was that odd thing with the egg?
Anyway, yes - Hartley Hare was great I thought, but I was always a bit freaked out by the strange badger. Clearly no expense spared on the puppets . It feels like everything was home made in the 70s! Always thought Hartley looked like he'd had his face shut in the drawer overnight. :*:

You're so right. He was really mangey wasn't he, Hartley Hare?! He used to give me the heebie jeebies too. His voice was really crackly (the way I remember it anyway).
...and hands up who remembers Fingerbobs? Wonderfully low budget! Just goes to show you don't need whizzy graphics and big bucks to stimulate a child's imagination.
In fact, I'd go so far as to say the kids of today don't know what they're missing!

Wasn't that 'Ludwig'? The Clangers were hand knitted by Oliver Postgate's wife!

Yeah - Ludwig – you’re right. Just been checking it out on the web – all looks really sweet now, but I seem to remember being a bit wary of it when I was little. Clangers were brilliant, and Fingerbobs (although the big hairy man I found a bit creepy). Blimey – I was such a wimp as a kid! Didn’t like the witch in Charlton and the Wheelies much either... :*:
