Jools may not be the K of C, but you should go and try to go to one of the outdoor picnic do's!

Again, not cool, but what a laugh. Get someone to drop you off and pick you up or camp. ..>

We've been a few times. Gates open at 4:00pm. It's all very civilised, people set up their tables, chairs,
picnic blankets etc, loads of food and vast amounts of booze!

By the time Jools comes on, around 9:00pm, everyone is completely shit faced and ready for a bit of a
drunken boogie! :Hoorah :BEEEER :BEEEER :BEEEER :HOORAY

All topped off with more drink and fireworks! Sold! ..>

Oh, and you get Ruby Turner (what a set of.........lungs!) and IMHO, one of the best drummers around,
Gilson Lavis. ..>

Those odds have surely lengthened since Richards 'Brits' comments at Buxton :*:

I'm just looking forward to the acceptance speech if he wins, probably a good job he'll have to pre record it........ after the kerfuffle over Adele giving the finger when they cut her speech short.
Funniest moment on Sun at Buxton was when someone shouted 'Good luck at the Brits and H replied 'Not my scene mate, I'd rather eat my own shit than go to the Brits'

Well I'm glad I didn't put a bet on! Who is Ben Howard anyway? Never heard of him.

No, me neither!

Oh well, commiserations Richard - although I imagine that's really congratulations

Didn't watch it – played a two-hour Jenga-thon with my boy last night (cheating bastard that he is). Can't stand the home counties humour of James Corden, reminds me of a league of unfunny podge boys at the office. I'm sure you think you're funny but just fuck off now. But my friend said seeing One Direction singing Teenage Kicks was the musical equivalent of Nick Griffin from the BNP reading Martin Luther King's I Have A Dream speech, which did make me titter. Sycophantic jamboree for mediocre music lip-synced by dullards. Coldplay? Mumford & Sons? Is this what makes us proud to be British. H better off not sullying himself with the nonsense. x

A celebration of corporate mediocrity. It was excruciating.

Why don't they just combine it with the Eurovision Song Contest and get Terry Wogan to host the fucker. Quality of music on show wouldn't be much different.

Yes, I have to agree it really was a pile of crap .... but then the BRITS always are aren't they?

There was some really funny stuff on Twitter from people who were either there or watching at home. I think it was John Robb who tweeted that Debbie Harry would have been turning in her grave at the One Direction performance of 'one way or another' ... if she'd been dead.

I'd never heard of Ben Howard either until i caught a glimpse last night.

He sounds like a Mumford & Sons reject.

I've noticed a lot of bands/singers trying the Mumford drawl lately, maybe because of there american success?

Pretty uninspirational and bland if you ask me, sunday morning lie in music for newlyweds...
