Going to be a belter of a night this. The third night of Sheffields The King Bee Club on Saturday 13th April sees resident DJ's Graham Wright, Joe Dutton (Gav Arno is fulfilling a long standing engagement on the other side of the Pennines) joined by Sheffield music legend Richard Hawley. We weren't expecting him back so soon but he's literally pestered the lives out of us for another spot, and well, we weren't going to say no to another helping of Richards Rock 'n' Roll Radio live were we.
Expect mid 50's Rhythm 'n' Blues, Early Club Soul, Rock 'n' Roll and a hint of Popcorn, Ska and latin jazz all on original chunky black vinyl.

The opening night was a sell out with Mods, Rockers, Hipsters, Flipsters and finger poppin' mommy and daddios resplendant in bespoke and vintage apparel tearing up the dancefloor.

Situated upstairs in a fantastic real ale boozer "Shakespeares Ale House" music played 8.30 until 1.00

Richard returns in August - taken from facebook page -

"Got both guest DJs sorted for the August all day Hullabaloo and i think you'll be as pleased as I am when you find out who they are. Not naming them both tonight, but one is a DJ/Collector/seller that I've known since the 80's and has graced the decks of every top Mod/Soul/R'n'B night both in the UK and across europe..............I'll let you know who next week! The other is The King Bees favourite Sheffield musical legend who always rocks the place when spinning his eclectic mix of R'n'B, Rock 'n' Roll, and garage/surf instrumentals, yes we're welcoming back the one and only Richard Hawley."
