Fantastic. My favourite band and my favourite solo artist, never expected to hear them together, and the result is as beautiful as I expected :D ..>

Lo ladies and chaps, its been a while, hope you are all well, even Craig.

but just heard the Manics/RH track Rewind the film on my radiogram. And HAD to pop in to say just Wow. Didn't even know he'd been working with them. but what a fucking lovely track. I couldn't find any other thread about it.

I'm really up and down with the manics, sometimes i love them, and sometimes i don't, but this just works soooo well.

Track by track review by the Manics. A section where they discuss Rewind the Film and Richard.

And very well received by the manics fans I know who were there. In two minds about seeing them on Friday.

NME give the album 7/10 and I love this quote from it:

The title track features Richard Hawley, who could read out your death sentence and it would still sound like a lullaby, and the crying-whale slide guitar and graceful strings make it a highlight not just of this album, but of their whole career.

Just brilliant! Has Hawleys' musical/vocal signature all over it, the one that evokes "that feeling" and that line "let me hide under the sheets, with the radio on" brings back so many memories. ..>

I bought the Deluxe double album in a sleeve that looks like a book. The second CD has the demo versions of the same songs plus 5 live tracks. I am a fan of the Manics and love it.
