Thank god the states broadcast Jools Holland. Richard Hawley. Elbow. Imelda May. For this old geezer, living in the desolation of Kansas (of all places) I have too much time on my hands, but then finding these artists . . . well they are the makers of music I like to put on the MP3 player and golf.

Though as this is the Richard Hawley site, my question is are there plans to tour the states? I have picked up on the fact that Richard is plagued with arthritis so I realize touring may not be the keenest thing to do.

I've been reading the new book on Harry Nilsson, and the comparisons of these two artists being true to their craft is admirable. (Especially in these days of sampled, soulless music.) Keep up the very good work. It's much appreciated!

Welcome Ken

Read this thread for Richard's response last time the question was asked

The new Rough Trade New York shop is set to open tomorrow. They're run by the Bowery Ballroom people and are doing both free and ticketed shows. While I would love a full tour here (of course) I'm just throwing this out there as the ideal opportunity to at least do one in-store promo thing in the States next album time.

Still remember the night squeezed into the tiny Other Music shop. Just heavenly!
