As someone who cares about the way things sound I choose to buy as much of my music on vinyl as possible to obtain the maximum enjoyment and quality, I really cannot understand why any artist or record company would think that I (or other vinyl buyers) would want an MP3 of an album.
I would like a digital version of the album for use on a portable device but would want that in a proper format as well, such as wav or flac .
Is it really too much to expect? This seems to be all warner ever offer unlike the good indie labels which give you the option at the point of download to choose if your preferred format.
Is this just me or do others feel the same?
