As we all get a little older i have noticed that kids listern to a load of shit these days. but, i am reminded by this thread that we all listerned to shit when we were kids!
I was born in 69 and all the wonderful songs that were laid before me were insignificant against Mr.Custer, My Boomerang wont come back, Grandad and anything by pinky and perky!!
Thank heavens we are not compiling 'Our First song/Reunion/Greatest album in the world type thing!
A-Dick-A-Dum-Dum!

What a load of old S**T! ( As described on the front cover by Cathrine Tates Granny!)

But thanks for the memories :D

This thread has been awful - cos the last couple of days all I've had in my head are the songs that have been mentioned...........

But I tell you what - they may all be rather old but by heck everyone remembers them! Can't see that happening with much of the trash these days.................... :*:

I remember the 1st record player we had at home in the early sixties - it was wooden, the size of a sideboard and had an amazing speaker the size of a dustbin lid - came with a pile of 78's from the 50's. Amongst them was number of records by a guy called Charlie Gracie who sounded very mch like Elvis in his uptempo guises but I know nothing about him. There was also Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue" b/side "Every Day" but unfortunately my kid sister sat on it. :x

First song I remember, was my dad playing me an old 78 of Bill Hayley's 'Ten Little Indians'. Used to bop around the living room to that one.

Yes, that song was amongst the collection and it was very, very similar to Don't be cruel".
