As you walk by the allotments by the Mill pond you may smell Beer. Don't worry, you are not going mad - it's Mr Katikin's new way to make his veg. grow - covering them in spent hops which he gets by the sack load from the brewery.....that's our weekends now - an hour or so digging, the walk up to Forge dam cafe for a well deserved cup of tea!

Very nice to see you there yesterday Mr Hawley. I never did get my bacon sandwich.. i did manage my weekly routine of burning my tongue on the posh coffee.

hope you all had a nice morning. Was a beautiful day.

We did the opposite this Sunday afternoon. Walked from Forge Dam to the Botanical Gardens for coffee and a giant cupcake and to let loose the toddlers to climb the trees; dare the bear pit; talk to the flowers; and play hide and seek.

(Via a quick swing in the new Endcliffe Park playground which is fab and heaving with kids - cheers Mr H, saw you name on the donor plaque!)

Brilliant time had by all.

Bizarre. We were in both Endcliffe Park and the Botty Gardens on Sunday, punctuated by a leisurely lunch in Cafe Rouge.
