went there yesterday for the first time in ages, took young 'un cos it was her birthday yesterday, decided to go cos it rained!!
got to say how impressed i was, probably the last time i went was with schoo, about 20 odd years ago, and it was crap then!.
it's all been refurbished, and they've got some great exhibitions on, loads of stuffed animals, and at the moment a big exhibtion about space- which made my day cos there was a collection of old space toys - star wars, space lego, E.T. loads!
we all really enjoyed the afternoon out, daughter was pointing and giggling at all the anaimals, and wasn't even scared by the giant polar bear!
if anyone going somewhere different in sheffield, it's well worth going to!!
and it's free to get in too! :D

Keeps winning awards for being the best kids' museum and rightly so. By most standards they don't actually have a lot of stuff, but it's so well-presented and fun it doesn't matter. We take our daughter quite a lot and it's always full of kids having a great time.

Not really one for chin-stroking adults though...

Hawley's not there all the time, so Dave stands in in his absence.
