Didn't know about this but then just heard it on a 6Music Bulletin with Mark Ellen. And that explains what the fireworks were at about 7pm last night. Was teaching at Hallam and heard them going off.

I've had this blessed cold since I went to see Nick Cave two weeks ago. I guess freezing your rocks off in the Devil's Arse didn't help...get better soon Richard...

burger vans?erm...i think it was about promoting the local shops etc, there are some excellent food places mere yards away.......if i hadn't been so ill i would have gone to the gulshan or marcia's.........it wasn't well attended really i put it down to the cold i KNOW the press people put a lot of work into it,i am afraid it comes,,,,,,,,,,,,,[in part not totally though it was fuckin freezing i was going to bring the kids but it was too cold for them and it was late for the small one's so i am as bad as everyone else]......................,down to Sheffield folk .not being arsed it was a top firework display nearly deafened me,use it or lose it as they say..........although i do understand that a council run gig might not be a very cool event so that would have kept the younger ones away maybe?who knows..........right back to hacking my lungs up

sheffield forums view on events - the main complaint appears to be the lack of burger vans?!! :?

Yes, there's a reason I avoid that particular part of the internet. It isn't good for the blood pressure.
