Anyone who went to the Leadmill between 1980 and 1992should buy this book. And no, I'm not on commission!
Some fantastic images in there...just check out John Cooper Clarke and The Pogues on this link
Enjoy

I must admit, I am relatively new to the Leadmill - I think my first visit was about seven years ago. My time in Sheffield in the early 80's was mostly spent at the Limit club. The book looks very interesting though - marvellous artwork.

Cheers, Steve.

great stuff, although i started going to the leadmil from about 93 onwards..before that it was Rebels down Dixon lane for me (gives a hint at what music i was into)!!
the book looks a good read though, i've seen Martins work before, he does posters for sheffield blues rockers Do$ch and they look fantastic,

i wrote a brief forward for his book,Martin also was kind enough to give me a copy of the book, its brilliant and a major cultural document of a time when folk actually gave a fuck in this city and didn't just do bland boring things to promote gigs..........I've had the pleasure of calling martin a friend for over 20 years he's a boss bloke and a great artist who should be more highly regarded than he is.In those days when you played the Leadmill you got your own totally unique poster designed by martin. He was always a gracious man who let you have a say, well chuffed for him he is one of the most deserving Sheffield artists of this recognition.
