Well, there's loads of great little bands that have come out of Sheff.
Suffice to say Richards work is certainly up there
, but Moloko's debut was fantastic, Fee Fi Fo Fum still stands up as a cracker of tune from the mid nineties.
His n Hers is THE Pulp album for me, Should Lexicon of Love really count with Fry and Whhite being from Manchester? Love it to pieces though. Dare should be up there, The Sun is often out also deserves to be up there and it's a special album for me too.
What about some of Frank Whites work, the mans a guitar god?
World of Twist? were they from our side of the Pennines? I remember them having a Manchester connection, but they certainly were good enough.
But surely Speedy deserve the award?
Then again I did cellotape my ears closed the last time I heard boy wonder, so perhaps it's got better over time. Then again. No, I know it hasn't. It still causes bleeding to occur in small children and the last time someone played a copy in Arbourthorn, the police had to bleach small animals and children caught in the sonic explosion. The culprit was sentenced to a night of listening to Limp Bizkit whilst small rodents ate cheese of their belly.
