Vote for the best album by a Sheffield band. I'll leave Hawley off this as it's taken as a given that his work is liked by everyone on here.

Yay, get my electro disco booties on.......first up ....first vote....

On a more cereberal matter......do any of you still resident in the city of steel know if the two League girls are still around. I used to have the hots for Susan Anne Gayle (used to be Susanne Starkey??).......in fact I don't think those feelings ever went away......

Go on one of you go round knock on her door, see if she'll come out to play!

I refuse to vote because of this!!

I have different class, but I don't think it's good enough to vote for.

Get 'the sun is often out' up there! *!

LP :Oink:

Well, I know you like the Longpigs, but are they really up their with the likes of Pulp and The Human Leagues Dare albums?

Oh and I forgot ABCs Lexicon Of Love.

The two girls still live in Sheffield I'm sure. Phil Oakey lives just off Ecclesall Road.

Absolutely. I'm 27, so I was 7 when Dare came out. But I am an old fart in many many ways sheds!

I left Hawley off, because obviously we all really like him and what would the poll tell us we don't already know?

So the question to all you lot is: Am I wrong to leave the Longpigs off? Do you associate them with the best Sheffield bands?

I saw Joanne the other day. I was best man when she married a very good friend of mine  . They've got a kid who's about 5 or 6. I don't where Susanne is. I do know that She's absolutely barking though, once snogged my face off in the Limit & then ran away  :!:

Tony Christie - had quite a few big hits in late '60's, early '70's, biggest being "Do you know the way to Amerillo....." as featured in classic scene from Phoenix Nights with Paddy & Max driving the pensioners around!!!

Dave Berry - Had the original '60's hit with "The Crying Game" which was later 'poorly' covered by Boy George in the '90's!!
