First few acts announced:

Echo and the Bunnymen :)

Craig David

Anyone heard any other whispers about the line up? Can we expect a Sheffield collation performance? RH, Brian Glover, Nick Clegg?

Maybe Nick Clegg could do a speech, I saw him at Glastonbury once (honestly) and actually had time for him. I'll bring eggs, tomatoes and turds next time.

We are pleased to announce that The Hosts are among the latest additions to this summers Tramlines Festival in Sheffield. The festival spread over 3 days, Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July, includes Echo & The Bunnymen, Mystery Jets, Future Of The Left, The Hoosiers, 65daysofstatic, Mary Anne Hobbs and many more across four stages and 50 city centre venues.

We will be playing Saturday night 24th July at the O2 Academy on stage around 10:00pm.

With our album freshly recorded and new tunes in the bag expect the unexpected along with a collaboration with a good friend of ours.

NB its all free so get yer sen down.....doors are at 5pm.

I wonder who the special guest could be? :bigsmurf: papasmurf himself?

I've managed to get myself cheap digs, so will be heading over on Saturday early evening (hopefully in time to catch Mr McSweeney) and definitely in time to see The Hosts.

The only bands I definitely want to see on Sunday are Echo & The Bunnymen and Exit Calm, so would be very grateful of the following:

Any recommendations on Saturday evening between Neil and The Hosts?

Any recommendations daytime Sunday?

With thanks...

Neil's also playing Sunday afternoon at SOYO at 4 according to the listings. Followed by David J. Roch (aka LittleLostDavid) at 5. Looks the best of the Sunday afternoon action to me.

Thanks Craig. So, an acoustic set on Saturday and an electric set on Sunday afternoon, maybe?

I might even nod to you if I see you but having said that, you do always look fucking scary and utterly unapproachable

I think everything he's doing is solo, he's playing Saturday night too at the Rude Shipyard but think it clashes with The Hosts.

erm... do i know you? :eh?

Ha ha. Not really. I came to the second Or8 Our kids and then saw you (with Dave) at James in Sheffield in 2008 and (with Dave) at the Teddy Boy's Picnic a few weeks back.

On neither occasion did I dare nod to you, never mind speak.

Cheers for the additional info.

That's harsh. Try introducing yourself and being pleasant. You might be surprised.
