Anyone ever go up to Wyming Brook, near Redmires reservoir? I walk the dog up there a lot and can't believe how beautiful it is, with hardly any people there. It's great, if there was a cafe up there it would be packed to the rafters, luckily for me there isn't.

pictures of said brook - clicky

Anyone know of any other hidden gems like this place in and around Sheffield?

I agree - It's beautiful up there. I often take the dog there as well.
You could also try a walk around Damflask resevoir in Loxley and then have a well earned pint of Bradfield Breweries fabulous beers {Farmers Blonde or Farmers pale } in The Nag's Head just up from the resser. Great pub and dogs are welcome.

It's my favourite, posted some photos on the places thread a while back. Take the kids out there when we can, it's not far from me. The walk up from Forge Dam up the Porter Brook to Ringinglow is a mini version and v nice too.

if you cross the road at the Norfolk arms you can carry on all the way to whirlow through the Limb valley or you can go the Higger tor way which is so beautiful as well

Did a gig at Bolsterstone a few weeks ago, it's pretty much on our doorstep too, head through Grenoside, down Oughtibride and turn left at Deepcar really..very nice place, and theres the Broomhead Reservoir and Ewden Valleys too.
some nice boozers too!

...if anyone finds a well hidden 'hide' completely weatherproof and made form only natural resources...it's probably me Dad...

He tends to make fires using sticks etc. in the thick of Wymingbrook...off the beaten track. :D
