I know some of you will already know this but Sheffield has a new bar and music venue opening. Cant wait to try it out and see what its like, hope it works out for them.

Steve Delaney was taught to play guitar by Frank White and is such a nice guy and talented guitar player.

BTW Frank is booked to play on 27th May.

You musical types - Steve is looking for bands to play also so get in touch with him.

www.delaneysbar.co.uk

"Due to open at the end of May. Situated at 17 Cemetry road behind Waitrose Petrol station. A fantastic bar offering a wide variety of Beers, Wines and spirits as well as homemade delicious food at lunch 12-2.30. Steve Delaney well known as the Sharp Cuts Guitarist and wife Krysia have been learning the trade at the Bulls Head at Ranmoor and have decided to open there own bar focusing on Live Music and supporting local Sheffield bands. Strum 'n' Fiddle an open mic night will be held here every Thursday. All P.A. and mics etc.. are provided on sight , making it easy for artists to just turn up and play . Live bands will perform on Friday and Saturday nights. The focus of the bar is Music Music Music. Krysia's Kitchen has proved a great success at the Bull and will be looking after the lunchtime menu. Delaney's bar boasts a fantastic beer garden South Facing it provides a real suntrap and at the back of this is heated and covered smoking area."

popped in last night for Miss Carmen Ghia and the Hot Rods, some cool looking people there.

The bar is great and the beer garden is nice.
I really hope this does well and I am sure it will judging by the number of people there last night.

Mom & Dad nipped in last week to see Nathcez Burning, said it was a great venue but got the usual london road football nobheads in towards the end of the night. hope it doesn't spoil it for the crowd that appreciate music.

Went in again last night for the Strum and Fiddle open mic night, some good artists and that many they couldn't all get on. This venues looks a good addition to the Sheffield music scene.

Me & my dad's booked in for 29th July, got an Eyeball one too for 1st Oct.
Looking forward to playing there, they've got Natchez Burning on tonight, great 50's style blues / R&B band.

had a good night Mikey, the crowd was a bit strange at first, typical friday night boozing crowd!, some were listening but a lot were chatting, we managed to win them over at the end though and did 3 encores! got another one booked in with Eybeall at the start of October, hopefully get another M&J gig booked in. love the venue!
