...has anyone ever told you that you are gorgeous?

Ok... i'm a left side of the Pennines sort of bloke, born in manchester, dragged up in cheshire, and i am pretty much wed to where I am. But if there is another county that i'd choose to have an extra-terrainial affair with, then it would be with you lot over there.

Now I don't get over that side of the big hill much, but everytime I do, I just find it breathtakingly stunning. I'm really not sure what it is, the way light falls on the stone of the buildings and the roll of the hills. It just all fits together like a slightly roughly cut jigsaw.

I came over to the Yorkshire sculpture park near Wakefield on Sunday, in itself a truly wonderful place, but the amount of times on the drive i nearly veered off the road admiring the towns and hills on the way was dangerous.

I can see why Yorkshire people are so fiercely proud of the place, just moves me to drive across it sometimes.

I even found Huddersfield quite attractive, and she's normally a 4 pinter.

Am thinking of doing a scoot up to you lot over the summer in me van. Have a standing invite for gin with Bradford Lass so will try to fit that one in. Only ever been to Rotherham (pit protest) and Huddersfield (holiday romance with a shit) and I don't really know whether it showed the area's best side. Any tips of lovely places to go with a 21ft, 3 tonne camper much appreciated... x

Cant be me, i'm in Runcorn. And i'm way too young to remember the transporter bridge. My mates dad was the first across Runcorn bridge, he has it tattooed on his arm.

Walked home from work across the bridge last week, gives my arse the 50p 20p effect as i want to jump off.

Y'know, the feeling of your ring twitching when you lean off the edge of a high building, 50p...20p...50p...20p...

aw dammit, i meant this to be a gushing tribute to your stunning county, but the forum effect kicked in and it's degenerated into a discussion on twitchy sphincters.
