Read this in the Guardian yesterday. Controversial but thought it didn't put both sides of the argument over fairly.

What do you's Sheffield types think?

Park Hill wasnt as bad as people say, as soon as people said, if you see what I mean. When I lived close-by in 1991/1992 it was alright, but it was mismanaged and itd seen better days. Far from the 1980s no-go area described in the article. Ten years later though, it was a gehtto hell-hole, full of assylum seekers, gangs and knives...

I was all for its modernisation, but Id presumed that it would resemble Hyde Park B & C (they were similar originally but they were clad on 1992).

At first I thought that the original plans had been altered too much by financial necessity (caused by the economic melt-down in 2008-2009), but the more I see the development progressing now; the more I like it.

I wonder if itd have suited Hyde Park A? Im glad that they bulldozed Kelvin though (which really was a crap hole, but then; so was Hyde Park)!
