I didn't get to go to Sheffield on either of Bury's visits last season so I'm having to settle on a visit to Bramhall Lane a fortnight on Saturday.

Can someone recommend a couple of pubs en route to the ground from the station please and a couple for the trip back? Is it feasible to factor Fagans into the equation? That should give a decent indicator of th kind of place I like; the boozer rather than the bar.

Fagans is 10/15 minutes walk from the station, but in the wrong direction.

The Sheffield Tap is a fantastic pub that's in the station with a great range (though some very pricey) of beers.

Tap is great. Also the Rutland Arms.
