I'm coming up to Tramlines and need a hotel! Can anyone recommend a good one? Needs to be central(ish)... Am trying to use independent businesses more so would prefer a non multinational chain

Thank you!

Not that many hotels in Central Sheffield that are independent - Best Western Cutlers Hotel - should be independent but a part of the Best Western set up - folks on here have previously said it was good - try www.booking.com.

We have used the Ibis several times - because it's cheap - but can be noisy - so I make a point of asking for a room on the top floor furthest away from the lift - so that the 3.00 a.m. drunks don't disturb me too much - but it's obviously part of a big hotel chain.

Both are near a Tramline route so a few stops and you will be on West Street.

Rutland Hotel is just up Glossop Rd (10 mins walk from town max). My mum and dad stayed there and said it was good.

Not at all central, but worth the taxi ride in - The Garrison Hotel, Penistone Road.

There's The Harley if you don't mind being right in the middle of Tramlines and like the gentle hum of 4am DJ sets from the ground floor...
