if you happen to live in manchester you can find hendo's in the barbakan deli in chorlton.

proper trendy chorlton, opposite the unicorn organic store, (they don't sell honey. . . . . it's exploiting the bees).

50% increase.....that'll make it about £1.20 a bottle then - well worth it :chef:

The days of an 80p bottle are long gone! It was a shade over £1:00 and now its over £1:50.

Bastard super markets.

As soon as people accepted that 'prices were rising'; the fuckers havent let up...

One pound sixty fucking eight in Abbeydale Tesco now - the theiving piss-taking bastards!

I wonder how much of the 60% rise in price is seen by the manufacturers? Now that we have accepted rising prices the supermarkets are fucking us over at every opportunity, as we seem to be accepting it.

C*nts.

Is it cheaper to order through the Hendo's web site?

I think you have to buy in bulk but the money would bypass the supermarkets if you did that, too.

Just a thought.

On Sunday I was in York and passed The Yorkshire Pantry on High Petergate, where they had standard bottles of Hendo's, as well as the litre plastic refils, but they also had blue-and-white and red-and-white liveried bottles, for Wednesday and United respectively!

Not seen those before.

The full Hendo's range at The Yorkshire Pantry is here:

John Lewis Food Hall had the good taste to carry those (in the larger sized cans). One good reason for me to visit there at least once a week.

I'm seeing Hendo's everywhere I go now, unlike a few years back when you couldn't find a bottle anywhere in East Yorkshire. As well as Jack's in Beverley having bottles, I saw some last week in James Patrick of Hessle.

Hendo's is going global!

I'm still offering to swap with something from America. Shipping is expensive anymore, though. None of the many UK import shops carry HR. They did have that impostor Yorkshire Relish in the import aisle, but it's been replaced by something HP.

I think there is a deli somewhere near Liverpool Street but cannot remember which.

Brilliant. I bet it's that shop that's owned by Jeanette Winterson near Spitalfields Market. I'm gonna find me a bottle!
