My old man's just been on about a Sheffield venue he went to around the late-ish 1960's - he said the locals called it 'The Mucky Duck'...

anyone know about it?

It was the Black Swan (nicknamed the Mucky Duck) and is now the Boardwalk on Snig Hill. The Clash's first ever gig was there.

I know a guy who was there - far as i was aware it was the Clash supporting the Sex Pistols that night. Don't really get a much better line up
