Now getting very excited about the forthcoming Southampton gig in February, not long to go - I haven't seen the Boss on tour since 2006, so I'm almost jumping up and down right now... :D

Anyhoo! If you want to know a decent pub to frequent after the gig Boss, I can make a suggestion or two. :)

There's a pub just around the road from the Guildhall called Goblets - its the kind of place that is filled with students on the whole- BUT its a real music lovers pub, with a free jukebox(!) and a really random selection of music. Nice cheesy chips too.. :D :*: It isn't the best pub in the world, but it sure beats the crappy Yates Wine Bars type places  you'll find loads of in Southampton!

Most of the best proper real ale kind of places are slightly further out of town..... I can recommend a couple of them too if you like!! :)

:*: :*: What a generous offer jon. But luckily for you I don't like guinness and have an early morning flight back up to Glasgow so have to behave myself.

Will be in Goblets before the gig - tradition before going to the Guildhall.

PS for Mr H - here's a repeat of my post on earlier Southampton gig thread....

"When the gig was first planned I was going with my girlfriend, Caroline. Now the gig has been rearranged Caroline is now my wife! We danced to Cole's Corner at the wedding - so if this is on the set list for Southampton it would be great if Mr H could give Caroline a mention."

Cheers.

The Alderley Edge Hells Grandads Chapter accept your kind offer - we'll be down this weekend and leave in time for Glyndbourne...

I came up to Southampton this morning to stay with my sister - arrived just in time to hear Richard being interviewed on Radio Solent. I haven't managed to persuade my sister to come to the gig though.
Are people still going to Goblets beforehand? It would be nice to put a few faces to names :D

If you want to say hello (or give me a wide berth ) I've got reddish hair and will be wearing a black coat.
Let's ballad!
