Hi Richard. My name is Carl. I am new to the forum. I was at the Vicar Street Gig last night. The gig was amazing from start to finish. The encore was fantastic. Lonesome town and I'm so lonesome I could cry were great. The ocean was rockin. That was my third time to see you and it gets better every time. I've been a big fan since Late Night Final but never got around to joining the forum as I didn't have a computer. Anyway thanks for a great night. Keep writing beautiful music. Your a legend as they say in these parts. Carl (Dublin). P.S. Love the gibson 335. The sound off it was huge.

Just like to echo the sentiments already, a truly class gig, great banter, great crowd and great venue. Love the intro to Lady Solitude (it sounded like the vocal from Wait For Me?) Every song was tops and The Ocean to top it off was just unreal. So thanks for an amazing night Boss!!

Also special mention to Vincent Vincent and The Villains who I thought were fantastic also even though they had technical problems with the bass and a string breaking on lead guitar, it was hardly noticable and they delivered a great set.

peace 8)

Tony

Richard, you were superb on Fri night! Really love that venue.

I really thought the way your guitar kicked in on 'Dark Road' was fantastic. I've been playing it and trying to perfect the sound since i got home!

We were in the Lord Edward afterwards were I got a little bit pissed, before heading back up temple bar!

The harmonica player was unbelievable (as were all the band to be fair).

Many thanks for being the icing on the cake to a great trip away for me & mrs chocice.

both vicar street gigs were top class great band plus great crowd, (what else would you expect from the irish) equals live album maybe next time richard. if richard hawley was a currency he'd be a million dollars. coles corner and lady's bridge will still be played in my cd player for many years to come because they are pure classics.
