a Bolton bloke by any chance? Ah I miss those bitter Bolton days, dithering on Deansgate...Welcome, though, Boltonian or not.

So is the last gig on the UK leg going to live up to the rest of the tour (Leciester excluded)?

Theatre style gig - is it gonna be flat?

Half Manc / Bolton crowd and half Sheffield / Derbyshire Crowd, lets make some noise and make it better than the Dublin gig.

see you there, row H I think.

you got a lot of whooping to do to beat that.
York gave it a good go, but still not there with Dublin.
good luck and enjoy the show!

Just been snooping round the Opera House's website and read this in the biography of its architect:

"Matcham died in 1920 of blood poisoning brought on by excessive trimming of his finger nails."

:?

Greenhalgh's cheese and onion, always. I used to be a Saturday girl at the one on Deansgate, many moons ago...

Top gig tonight. No silly curfews like the poor people of York had to put up with, although Richard did keep telling us that the audience in York were better.

There was some great banter with my favourite bit being in response to a woman shouting "Good luck with the Brits".

Richard looked like he was going to say something but then didn't, as if he had thought better of it. He took a swig of water and then came out with:

"Let me tell you something about the Brits. It'll be a shed full of wankers".

That kept me laughing all the way home.

The setlist was:

Valentine
Roll River Roll
Just Like The Rain
Dark Road
Coles Corner
Tonight The Streets Are Ours
Lady's Bridge
Hotel Room
Serious
Lady Solitude
Our Darkness
The Sea Calls
Born Under A Bad Sign
Something Is
I'm Looking For Someone To Find Me
-------------------------------------------
Lonesome Town
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
Oh My Love
The Ocean

I'll write a proper review if I can't sleep.

Fucking top night!!!

The encore set just gets better everytime

Loved both supports as well. VV&TVs deserve to do really well, came across as really nice guys as well. Daughter Of Frank i had previously seen in Runaway Girl last year, with a certain Mr H in attendence. She must have impressed him as much she impressed me that night.
