I'm just recovering from two blinding gigs in Galway and Dublin where RH and the lads rocked their socks off.
Two very different crowds in very different venues. Roisin Dubh's in Galway is probably the smallest venue RH will ever play. Tiny and intimate little affair where even if you were stood at the back you could still feel his breath on your cheek.
Vincent Vincent was at his rockin best to open things up. Cool and confident with great stage precence. At one point in the set I caught his eye and I wasnt quite sure wether he wanted to serenade me or stab me, such was the menace in his performance. I cant wait for the new album in March .
Everyone in Ireland simply LOVES Richard and why not... he can sing, supp and tell ace jokes so no wonder he has the audience in the palm of his hand right from the off. He seemed to have a few guitar tuning probs before some songs but this didnt deter from another boss performance.
In Vicar street last night Richard walked on stage and was greeted with "Welcome home Richard" from the crowd, confirmation that he has been officiallly adopted by the Irish and the Lord Edward is his new home.
It's hard to tell who is blown over more. The crowd at how awesome this performance is tonight or Richard for how awsome the crowd reaction is.
The party back stage was a very special occasion, lots of rockabillys, sing alongs, booze and photo taking. I got some belters but because I'm a spaz on the PC I dont know how to up load them. Probably best really as what goes on tour stays on tour
.
I've got to do it all again tonight in Belfast...Bugger! I cant wait
