The festival is on July 11, 12 and 13 at Punchestown Racecourse in Naas, County Kildare. No word which night or stage he'll be playing as yet.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Oh dear, I absolutely, fucking *hate* Oxegen (or Poxygen as I lovingly refer to it) :( The last time I went was 2006, and I swore that was my last one. Have stuck by that...so far so good.

T'other half will be "working" there, but I cannot face being surrounded by pukers & scangers & rude security yokes...makes me mad  I might book myself into a nice hotel for the weekend, bring my iPod & pamper the bejaysus out of myself...there's a plan!

Then it'll nearly be time for Leccy Picernic!!! Woo!!! But without Mr.Hawley...Boo :-(

For a moment there I thought the fags had caught up with him - glad he's not in hospital(not to be confused with the gig venue!)

yep, many horror stories heard from Oxegen I only went once too and didnt really enjoy the experience for all the same reasons you mentioned Murphette, even though the lineup was great. Hoping he would do Electric Picnic too but maybe next time.

would be unusual I'd say. As far as I am aware MCD normally have a clause in the artists contract which prohibits them playing their own shows in the same region for a certain amount of time before and after the festival. which is shit.

I'm not a big festival goes give me a small venue or a theatre any day so when summer time hits a lot of the bands I like come over to do festivals and have fuck all seeing them again for ages after.

Indeed :(

My Bloody Valentine are going to be doing the Picnic, so I'm all of a dither <*>

I tried to get a ticket for the Saturday at Oxygen but they were gone - just a couple of hours after coming on sale. Now I not sure it wasn't a bad thing listening to you guys - I'd never been and thought I'd cope with one day if Richard was there.
