I just wanted to say on behalf of St Lukes - THANK YOU!

Last night at West Street Live was AMAZING! It was incredible to see how packed the place was and I couldn't believe it when the guitar sold for £550!

Craig did a fantastic job in organising the event and i'm sure the Children's Hospital will join me in saying thank you to the incredibly talented acts who performed and to Mr Hawley himself who made the night even more special.

We have to raise over £4 million every single year to keep the hospice open so it means a great deal when people take it upon themselves to support us by fundraising. We wouldn't be here without you, so thank you very, very much.

I think people like us should be thanking people like you, i'm sure all the staff are dedicated to their jobs in every hospice around the world and i'm not sure every one would be able to do that sort of job, it takes courage, guts and spirit. Good luck for the future. X

It always amazes me the work that St Luke's do, and also the generosity of the Sheffield people. There is a lot of politics going on around where i live next to Graves Park re the proposed move, but nights like last night put the focus truly where it should be. I'll be raising a bit of cash for them later this year for one of my Steel City nights hopefully

I'm amazed by all the hard work people in hospices do. It must be one of the hardest jobs, & they deserve all the help they can get. I'm really glad the night went well.

Definitely. I know I couldn't do it. Even just visiting one person for a couple of hours every day is so hard, I can't imagine being strong enough to be there all day every day. It takes a really special kind of person to do that job.

It was my grandad... The people at the hospice and the people from Marie Curie Cancer Care were amazing. I could never understand how they can do it, but I'm eternally grateful that they do. Anyway, best be off now. But I'm really proud of everyone involved in the event & the hospice... Well done everybody.

Obviously I can't speak for everyone who works here but I think a vast majority feel that it's a privilege to be involved with St Luke's. Our patients and their families are truly inspiring, their strength, courage and dignity makes me realise that I have so much to be thankful for in my life and (without sounding too preacher like) we should make the most of every opportunity because we don't know what's around the corner.

I've had so many fantastic experiences since coming to work at the hospice, laughing till I cry at the stories patients tell, watching faces light up when we've baked a cake for a birthday or even being a witness at a blessing in our chapel. The support we receive makes me proud to be from Sheffield, there's nowhere like it.
