Mind you the venue (carling academy) is crud. Open up the Opera House again on Westgate Rd. that was a crackin venue.

Agree on both counts, that's what put me off going. And yes, the Opera House would be a perfect venue.

Do you enjoy performing a guest "spot"? I know you say you get a "high" from performing - is it easier to come down after only one or two songs, or does it make you more restless and wanting to play?

its weird cos you hang about all day to play two tunes, but the lads are always good company and the shows are boss and to play a small part in it is a good laugh, but i find it hard to come down after gigs, tonight in Leeds was great the lads played a blinder and the crowds at all the gigs have gone crackers when i walk on they are so nice to me its nothing but a pleasure to be involved The fix is such a good song to sing on and play some guitar and i get to play with the lads on another tune which is a blinding song too i love Elbow they write true emotional music straight from the heart they should be absoliutely massive

Two young lads next to me went absolutely mad when you appeared -I think it took them by surprise.

If anyone is thinking of going to the tour, make sure you do. It was fantastic, and I can't believe that Newcastle didn't sell out until the day of the gig!!

Gutted you won't be playing Birmingham! But totally agree about Elbow. The new album is great but I've only listened to it 5-6 times so far. Leaders of the Free World is one of the most beautiful heart wrenching albums I've ever heard.

Hello HRH Um i took a gamble last night, ebay and vodka not a good idea but i got two tickets for Saturday.... i just hope that Sheffield is one of the six slots...its a long way to come for a gig..... now would you like me to bring some clotted cream, or pasties up???? Im reliably informed that Sheffield is the centre of the universe.......
