I've signed up.

A badger came out of a hedgerow in front of my car last year and I hit it. I got out to look and it was very badly injured, but not dead. I was absolutely sure that it could not be saved but couldn't bear to leave it to die in pain, so got back in the car and ran over it again to prevent it from dying slowly. I really love badgers and felt sick but didn't know what else to do

Fair enough, at least the creature stopped suffering.

My sister has a farm up on Bodmin Moor.................there is a really big badger set in one of the fields...................on a summer's evening we often have a beer and sit and watch them....................
They have been farming for years up on those moors and think the TB livestock/badger connection is rubbish......................

Infact,.if anyone from Defra goes sniffing around their patch, they will probably be greeted by my sister with a 12 bore...........................................................

Yeah...I've signed .

You absolutley did the right thing.........My son and I came across a half dead frog the other day........I think some nice person must have stamped on him...cos no cars drive that particular way.We took him back and put him out of his misery........................

I've signed too. Did I read somewhere that the TB connection hasn't been proved?

Oh Jan, how awful for you. My dad always told me that badgers are tricky because they can play dead but this one sounds as though it was in a really bad way.

Too horrible to describe but only its head was intact; the poor thing must have been in agony. It was a horrible thing to do but I couldn't have left it.

Let's hope the campaign does some good anyway x

You're so lucky, I've never seen a live badger (a few dead ones by the side of the road but that doesn't count). It's becoming a bit of an obsession really. One day I WILL see a badger!

Cheers Boss! I love the way they look so docile but in fact are Grade A vicious buggers!
