Is that Mancunian for 'Tosser'? This morning i had the misfortune to turn on the radio as they were playing what at first* i assumed was Simply Red, only to learn once the song had mercifullly ended it was infact the new single from the now preteniously rebranded 'Hucknall'. Now not only to a generation fortunate enough to have never heard Simply Red do you appear to name yourself after a non-descript town of Nottinghamshire inbreds, but as a multi-millionaire have the nerve to sing a song that's all about living in poverty (can't pay my rent, drinking my tea from a broken cup, all that sort of bollocks) and somewhat unbelievably make yourself appear to be an even bigger prick than had ever seemed possible. Of course i may have missed something and this is all some charity endeavour in aid of those suffering genuine hardship, but i'm sure they appreciate the soul a man like that can put into such a song before heading home in his Bentley to be fellated by a pair of 19 year old blonde twins who can't see past his wallet. Tosser.

* Here's something to fuck with your head Eoin. Actually my first thought was 'hmmm.... Rodney Crowell on Radio 2?'. Have a listen to Mick, you'll never play The Houstan Kid again...

It's a Bobby "Blue" Bland cover.

He's made a whole album of them. The bastard.

I haven't heard it yet but I did think it was a bit rich (no pun intended) of the ginger, wet-cake-in-the-rain-face hobbit to sing about poverty.

As moderator I think I might have to remove that photo, it is not in good taste now is it.

there should just be a caption over that photo "the effects of inbreeding"
He's a twat and I saw him do that Bobby Bland thing on tv the other night it was cringeworthy in the extreme for all the reasons said above. I don't get the Crowell reference Craig but I'm pretty sure i don't want to either :shaking:

did you hear that he was arrested for shagging a rabbit ? he was holding back the ears and the bunny was too tight to mention. :albino:

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

Then you remembered you'd already done that in your Picasso phase.......

I just hope it gets people listening to Bobby Bland a real singer with more grit and effortless tone than the ginga minga. The Mojo feature was cringeworthy. It takes something to make me think it'd be better to listen to Whitesnake, but I think I'd sooner hear Coverdale attempting Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City than go anywhere Huc*nall (though his name will rarely be typed on here I think he should be Wellered just in case)

Urgh I can't stand that man - perhaps its the red hair - its definitely the voice..............

He makes me feel sick looking at him - same with that Mike Batt - just looking at him and hearing him on the advert for his album.......... :pale:
