Saw the Pet Shop Boys at the Winter gardens "Blackpool" and at the re-opening of the BBC Radio theatre last June. What a sound, Neil Tennant is not the best singer in the world, but the witty lyrics and the fab way they use Synths "live" is incredible, awesome to be honest.

Bought Kate Walsh cd after her support slot at the bridgewater hall, and just got this at the weekend after seeing them support Richard in Galway. Top stuff by the way...

the rolling stones are no longer a band the are a brand and therefore a business.

I like the fact that Richard gives bands a chance who's CD he likes (and lost ours!! haha) it's good that a high profile artist is willing to help someone out and really what the music industry needs as oppose the all this pay to play and shit.

I hate it as a struggling musician on the local scene( :*: ) that you are sometimes offered gigs with the expectation that you will bring a massive crowd down, this was brilliant when we played the leadmill on a monday last year and the promoter bloke says "hope you've sold alot of tickets as the ****** haven't". The other band were a touring band over from the US.

For the record we sold 6 tickets, how you can expect anyone to see 100 tickets a week into the new year for a gig on a monday is beyond me!

Anyhow, good on yer Richard.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.
