No I understand that.

I used to get tortured by hayfever every summer and am fair skinned so burn easily. I'd rather it was milder so I could layer jumpers and woolly tights instead of having to suffer the trauma of sundresses and bare legs.

 still if there's somewhere shady and I have jug of Pimms to hand I quite like the warm weather :*:

i just like how everyone seems more cheerful and literally brighter when the sun is out.

this country is bloody miserable enough, don't say you'd be happier with buckets of rain and skies full of black clouds all through the summer? I love the sun.

just thinking back to a couple of weeks ago when we had day after day of hot hot weather here and it really just does lift my spirits no end.

Being someone who dislikes warm weather, I'm now fed up! Summer's coming. Last of the Bank Holidays, tomorrow (well, today actually), till August. Solid work until September when I head for The Lakes. Something to look forward to there, at least. Can't wait. Bah, Humbug :(

you miserable git.

well its gone a bit like that here recently hasnt it .

not a sun worshiper but for fucks sake I spend enough of my year being battered and pelted by the cold, wet and wind so if we get 6 weeks of warmth and sunshine bring it on.

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

I'm quite looking forward to summer, really. Once the exams are out of the way, anyway. I spent today painting my gran's fence and as a result my specs have spots of 'red cedar weatherproof stain' all over them and it's refusing to come off...

But it's sunny :D I agree with Luke on the effect summer has on people. It makes them generally cheerier, which is always good.

I love the summer - once I get used to it anyhow - it takes a lot to get me out of my boots and into summer shoes............... :? But the sun is gorgeous and it would be SO nice to have a proper summer this year instead of the dull mess we had last year.............

The only rotten thing is commuting when the weather is hot - the older trains are stifling and the overhead lines usually start to fail the minute the thermometer goes over 18 degrees C............... so a speed limit is usually in place resulting in a longer journey..............

That's so true. I'm sure if we had better weather people in general would be much more laid back and less desperate for material stuff. (Well maybe not everyone!!) 8)
