I'm sure I saw another thread on this but can't find it .... so I'm starting one because I'm sure some of us will get to ranting about it soon enough.

Workmates have started a BB sweepstake, and the email exchange went something like this ...

16:50 - Email invitation to join sweepstake
16:55 - Me: I'm going to try to resist watching this year.
17:09 - Colleague: We're rolling in the aisles at this along here
17:12 - Me: I have a dissertation to write
17:13 - Colleague: Rubbish we give you a week tops
17:16 - Me: ??? You'd better put me in the sweepstake then. No. No. No. I can resist.
17:17 - Colleague: I'm reserving you a place as I have no faith in this new resolve of yours.

17:20 - I walk down corridor, hand over my £5 to great mirth. They'd been betting on when I'd give in - one thought I'd last to the weekend, the other 10 minutes into the first highlights show. Reality was less than 30 minutes.

I have no will power. :?

And I hate BB anyway!!

I found myself watching a few minutes of this last night. Manipulative, cruel, banal tosh. What odds on the first BB murder? Or will they just bore each other to death?

the fact that this shite is on the air and people are actually watching it and more than that PARTICIPATING in it either by going into the house or by voting on it surely is a sign of the forthcoming apocalypse. i saw 10 minutes of the very first show of the first series to see if it was what i thought it was gonna be. it was and i never saw it again.

that could be entertaining, unlike the real show.

The only thing I hate more then the programme itself is those who'd go on it and you might as well stick in those who watch it aswell. Rubbish.

I'm always amazed at how people can be so 'crazy' about themselves........................I had the misfortune of seeing a bit of it last night as I was working a night duty.....................................................................Jesus Christ ,it really is shite.

When my kids say "Do you watch ___________ (insert mediocre programme here)?" and I say "No", they look at me as if the they don't understand.

I can't stand it. I think it was Billy Connolly who said, "You're sitting in the house, watching people sitting in the house. GO OUT!!"

I've just dug out the DVDs and may watch them tonight... I didn't even know he was touring just now! I'd love to see him.
